Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk is really struggling in the early stages of the 2024 NFL season. Through two games, Kirk has just two receptions.
But does that lack of production mean that fantasy managers can safely move on from Kirk this week? Or should they hold on to him a little longer to see if he can bounce back?
Read on for advice on whether or not you should hold Kirk or drop him to the waiver wire.

Should I Drop Christian Kirk in Fantasy Football?
There's no way to slice Kirk's lack of production this season as a good thing. In Week 1 against Miami, he was targeted four times, catching one pass for 30 yards. Then, in Week 2 against Cleveland, he was targeted three times, catching one pass for a loss of one yard.
That's right: two weeks in, Kirk has fewer total yards than he recorded on his longest catch of the year. It's been rough, and that's been aided by the fact that Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. have been solid players.
Week 2 Cardio Kings:
Tyler Lockett - 42 routes run (2 targets, 15 yards)
Christian Kirk - 32 routes run (3 targets, -1 yards)
Mike Williams - 24 routes run (1 target, 19 yards)
Luke McCaffrey - 23 routes run (1 target, 0 yards)

If you're in an eight-team league then sure, go ahead and drop Kirk, but in 10-plus team leagues, I'm still holding onto him. Despite his lack of production, Kirk played 88% of the team's Week 2 snaps, second among the team's receivers to Davis.
We might not see the Kirk we saw in past years because the Jaguars have so many mouths to feed, but he should still have WR4 value. Production is coming for Kirk at some point.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 3 Fantasy Football?
While you don't need to drop Kirk, you might be interested in his fellow Jag, Gabe Davis.
Rostered in just 34% of leagues, Davis was targeted seven times, catching three of those passes for 43 yards against the Browns. He played 95% of Jacksonville's offensive snaps and led the team in targets.
Davis has big-play upside and should be rostered in all 12-team leagues.
