ANALYSIS: New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard was a popular waiver wire target after his massive Week 1 performance. The veteran wide receiver had six receptions on nine targets for 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers, totaling 23.9 half-point PPR fantasy points.

Unfortunately, he severely regressed in Week 2. Lazard saw his targets drop by more than half, going from nine against the 49ers to only four against the Tennessee Titans. The veteran had only two receptions for 11 receiving yards and 2.1 fantasy points on Sunday. Yet, fantasy players in deeper leagues should add him off the waiver wire if available.
The Jets lack proven pass catchers at the wide receiver position besides Garrett Wilson. Until Mike Williams is 100% healthy coming off a torn ACL, Lazard should continue as the No. 2 guy for Aaron Rodgers and the passing attack.
