Victor Robles Back In Action On Tuesday Night
2 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (elbow) is starting in right field and is batting leadoff for the M's at T-Mobile Park on Tuesday night against the visiting San Diego Padres and right-hander Yu Darvish for the start of a new series. Robles was hit by a pitch on his elbow last Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals and then missed the final two games of the series. After a scheduled day off on Monday, the 27-year-old is back in action and will be looking for his first career hit against Darvish, who he has faced five times before. The Dominican outfielder has been an offensive spark for Seattle since being acquired in a deadline trade from the Washington Nationals at the end of July. In his 61 games with Seattle, Robles has hit .307/.369/.449 with an .818 OPS, four homers, 13 doubles, 19 RBI and 19 steals in 199 plate appearances.
