Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams exploded for 24.4 fantasy points in his Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Williams was uncoverable, ripping off multiple explosive plays.
The Lions receiving corps production in totality was a shock to the NFL world in Week 1, with WR Amon-Ra St. Brown recording just three catches for 13 yards and no touchdowns. St. Brown being overshadowed by Williams was something nobody predicted.
So is Jameson Williams healthy or is he hurt? Will he play in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Let's dive in.

Will Jameson Williams Play In Week 2?
Williams is listed as Questionable on the injury report with an ankle injury. It's not known the full extent of his injury, but it's thought to be minor and could've been picked up on this play, where Williams' ankle gets slightly trapped under the body of a defender trying to make a tackle and briefly twists at an awkward angle.
Jameson Williams should be fine rest of game despite left high ankle sprain mechanism. Very benign on video. pic.twitter.com/Kaj5hBdXQV

At least from the tape, it doesn't look to be major. Small ankle rolls like this happen often in the NFL, with bodies flying everywhere and falling to the ground, often colliding with players' feet and ankles. It's pretty easy for ankles to get slight injuries as players' feet are rolled in different directions this way.
From what we know, it seems like Williams is more likely than not to play in Week 2. It remains to be seen in what capacity.
Jameson Williams Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook
Williams showed us that he can do a lot of damage on just one play. If he starts, he's worth at least a FLEX spot in your lineup, depending on the depth of your league and depth of your roster in general.
Williams took some time to shine, but he's in an elite offense with a good quarterback and a renowned OC, Ben Johnson, running the show. We probably haven't seen the last of Williams' great plays this season.

Williams effectively posterized (NFL-wise) a former All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White. Williams talent is evident, his speed is unreal, and he's hitting his stride at the perfect time for fantasy managers to potentially enjoy a full season of good play.
Williams should be in your starting lineups after this stellar performance. His upside is huge, and outliers tend to win championships, so don't leave him on your bench.
