ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd is off to a rocky start along with QB Will Levis and new offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. The Titans didn't get much going at all against the Bears and Levis had a brutal game, throwing for just 127 yards and 1 touchdown against 2 interceptions.
Boyd wasn't fantasy-relevant with the Cincinnati Bengals, and that looks to continue so far in 2024. Boyd recorded just three catches on five targets for 18 yards. The biggest culprit was Levis, who looked extremely raw and made several awful plays, including this Brandon Weeden-esque interception.
Legit the worst pick six interception I have ever seen from Will Levis. Titans have the lead. Just take the sack! Just stupidity that can’t happen on any level from a starting quarterback. pic.twitter.com/LhLdD5wqHE

Until Levis cleans up his play significantly, there may not be much hope for Boyd. Levis completed just 19 passes, so there wasn't much to go around. Seven of those passes went to running backs and four to tight ends, leaving just 8 for the wide receivers.
Until that improves there is no reason to want any receiver on this team besides Calvin Ridley. Boyd has never been a consistent producer and had just one game of over 60 yards receiving in 2023 after having boom games in 2022. A healthy Joe Burrow was likely the driving force behind that, and Levis is a huge downgrade.
With how barren waivers are after week 1, it might be tempting to add Boyd, but there are much better options. Nothing Boyd has done in his career has suggested that he can be a consistent producer with Levis at the helm.
