Korey Lee Scratched With Back Tightness
3 months agoChicago White Sox catcher Korey Lee (back) was scratched from Friday's starting lineup against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park due to back tightness. Chuckie Robinson will take over the catching duties and serve as the battery mate for right-hander Davis Martin while batting eighth against Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta. The 26-year-old Lee could probably use a day off anyway; he has hit just .214 (18-for-84) with a homer, three doubles, a triple, five RBI and 28 strikeouts in 25 games played since the start of August. It's been right along with his season line of .213/.244/.346 with a well below-average .590 OPS. The former first-rounder in 2019 out of Cal Berkeley has 10 homers, 31 RBI and five steals in 2024. Robinson has six hits in his 39 at-bats (.154) this year with no homers and 11 strikeouts, so DFS managers should be looking to avoid him.
