3 months agoMemphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II (foot) will be out for at least three months, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Jackson II broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot in training and had a successful surgery on Wednesday. It's a bitter blow for the 19-year-old, who had an impressive debut campaign in 2023-24, earning a spot on the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Jackson II averaged 14.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 25.7 minutes. He likely won't play as big of a role this season if the Grizzlies can keep their core healthy, but the team will definitely miss his scoring ability and youthful energy.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
