Seth Jarvis Inks Eight-Year Extension With Hurricanes
7 months agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis has signed an eight-year extension. The two parties came to an agreement on a $63.2 million pact. Jarvis was a restricted free agent. The 22-year-old cashes in on a big season. After amassing 79 points (31 goals, 48 assists) in his first two NHL campaigns, Jarvis notched 33 goals and 67 points in 81 outings last season. He added a team-best five goals and four assists in 11 playoff games. The Winnipeg-born forward still has a lot of room to grow as a player, and barring any injuries, Jarvis could get close to being a point-per-game player in 2024-25.

Seth Jarvis Rejoins Canada's Lineup Thursday
1 month agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis will return to Canada's lineup on Thursday against the U.S. at the 4 Nations Face-Off. Jarvis was a healthy scratch for Monday's matchup against Finland. Philadelphia Flyers star Travis Konecny took his spot in the lineup. On Thursday, Konecny will come out of the lineup to make room for Jarvis, who has posted one assist in two games at the tournament. He hasn't yet recorded any shots on goal but boasts five hits, having averaged 11:07 of ice time on the fourth line.

Seth Jarvis Scores Twice, Adds Two Assists On Thursday
2 months agoCarolina Hurricanes right wing Seth Jarvis tallied two goals and two assists during their victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday evening. Jarvis scored his first goal on the power-play in the second frame. Later in the period, Jarvis would tally two primary assists, both during 5-on-5 play. In the third, Jarvis would find the back of the net for the second time with the empty-netter. Jarvis added four hits and five shots on goal in this contest. Over his previous 12 games, Jarvis has tallied 13 points (nine goals, four assists). During this stretch, he has averaged 2.75 shots on goal per game. Overall, the 22-year-old has tallied 38 points over 42 games and is on pace to set a new career-high. Despite moving down to the third line, Jarvis has continued to produce in the Carolina lineup.

Seth Jarvis Returns With A Three-Point Effort
4 months agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis (upper body) had a prolific comeback game against Dallas on Monday, notching three points in a 6-4 win. Returning from a seven-game absence, Jarvis netted a short-handed goal early in the first period and had a couple of assists in the third, including a power-play helper on Martin Necas' game-winning goal. Jarvis skated on the second line and amassed a game-high five hits across 17:52 of ice time. He's now on a point-per-game pace for the season, sitting on five goals and nine assists through 14 appearances. Jarvis also averages 1.5 hits per game.

Seth Jarvis Activated From Injured Reserve
4 months agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis (upper body) has been activated from Injured Reserve, making him eligible to return to the lineup Monday versus Dallas. Jarvis has missed the past seven games while dealing with an upper-body problem. The versatile forward has been close to averaging a point per game this season, posting four goals and seven assists in 13 appearances with 35 shots and 16 hits. Jarvis' return will bump William Carrier back to the fourth line, while Tyson Jost will likely have to get reacquainted with the press box.
