Spencer Steer Not In Sunday's Lineup
3 months agoCincinnati Reds third baseman/outfielder Spencer Steer is taking a seat in Sunday's series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers. The 26-year-old infielder has started in each of the past 23 games and is taking a routine maintenance day. During this stretch, Steer has posted a solid .282/.394/.487 line with four home runs and a 15:19 BB:K ratio. Steer should be expected to rejoin the starting nine on Monday even as the Reds open up a three-game set against the Astros. As a result, Will Benson will join the starting nine, start in left field, and bat in the eight-hole. Benson has held a .273 AVG across the past six games and could be worth a look in DFS this afternoon as he will face Brewer right-hander Tobias Myers, who has held a 4.30 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP across his past three outings.
