3 months agoAfter a dismal stretch in the spring and early summer, Daniel Suarez went on a recent run with three straight top tens surrounding his recent wedding, most notably the arguably most dominant run of his career at Richmond. That streak ended when his car caught fire after a pit stop at Daytona. However, since Suarez is already in the playoffs while his teammate Ross Chastain likely needs to win his way into the playoffs, Trackhouse Racing will likely be putting all of their resources into Chastain this weekend probably at the expense of Suarez, so he probably won't run well very today. His worst-of-the-season qualifying run of 32nd is probably an indicator that this is exactly what Trackhouse is doing, so don't expect Suarez to do much in the race, especially since he has never posted a top ten there either.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
