Alec Bohm Not In Friday's Lineup
3 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) is out of the team's starting lineup for Friday's contest at Citizens Bank Park against the division-rival Atlanta Braves. Edmundo Sosa will take over third-base duties while batting eighth, while right fielder Nick Castellanos will take over cleanup duties for the Phillies against Braves right-hander Reynaldo Lopez. Bohm injured his left hand during a swing in the first inning of Thursday's series opener against Atlanta and was removed from the game, but X-rays on the 28-year-old All-Star's hand came back negative. Consider him day-to-day for now and check to see if he'll be able to return for Saturday's game. Not only has Castellanos been swinging some hot lumber of late, but he's hitting .324 with an .828 OPS and three RBI in a big sample size of 37 career at-bats against Lopez. He'll surely be a popular DFS play on Friday, especially in the four-hole for Philly.
