Seranthony Dominguez Picks Up Save On Friday
4 months agoBaltimore Orioles closer Seranthony Dominguez shut the door on the Astros in a 7-5 victory over Houston on Friday, earning his fifth save of the season. Dominguez had struggled recently after being crowned the closer, allowing home runs in three consecutive appearances, but was handed the ball in the ninth inning on Friday while former closer Craig Kimbrel pitched the eighth. It is a welcome sign for those fantasy managers who stuck with Dominguez, however, he also did not strike out a batter in the frame. The 29-year-old had recorded at least one strikeout in 13 straight appearances before Friday's outing. Nevertheless, closing games for an Orioles team that should continue to win a lot of games is a recipe for a valuable fantasy closer, and he should remain rostered until we see otherwise.
