Jorbit Vivas from Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. Chisholm exited Tuesday's contest against the Baltimore Orioles with discomfort in his right oblique and proceeded to rest on Wednesday, with the Yankees having an off day on Thursday. Although Chisholm has downplayed the injury since leaving Tuesday's game, it turns out that he will need some additional time to heal. Chisholm is struggling to maintain consistency at the plate in 2025, slashing .181/.304/.410 with seven home runs, 17 runs scored, and 17 RBI. In his absence on Tuesday,
Pablo Reyes filled in at second base for the Yankees. It is possible that
Oswaldo Cabrera or
Oswald Peraza could fill in at second base for the Yankees in the short term as well.

Manager Aaron Boone believes that it could be an injured-list situation, so fantasy managers should prepare for that possibility. The Yankees will start a new series in the Bronx on Friday against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. If Chisholm misses extended time with a tricky injury, Reyes should take over most of the playing time at second base for the Yanks. The 27-year-old Chisholm has been all or nothing in 2025, hitting just .181 (19-for-105) but with seven homers, 17 RBI, 17 runs and six stolen bases.

Manager Aaron Boone said there is some concern it could be an injured-list situation, although Chisholm told him that he feels "fine." Although the Yankees' lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles hasn't been posted, fantasy managers should be expecting the 27-year-old to sit out. Depending on what testing reveals on Thursday, Chisholm could also be absent this weekend in the Bronx against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. Although he's hitting just .181 (19-for-105) on the year, Chisholm does have seven home runs and six stolen bases and should be stashed in an IL spot if he lands on the shelf. Jazz Chisholm Jr. will not serve a one-game suspension related to his ejection for arguing with the umpire during a game on April 17. The 27-year-old proceeded to tweet about the incident from the clubhouse while the game was still going on, which is against MLB policies. A settlement was reached that will allow him to avoid suspension. Heading into Sunday's contest against the Blue Jays, the left-handed hitter was hitting just .172, but has seven home runs, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored, and six stolen bases to go along with a strong 12.6 percent walk rate. The low average hurts his fantasy value in leagues that score that, but the other production is solid in the other four standard categories.
