Viktor Hovland Seeks Title Defense At BMW Championship
3 months agoViktor Hovland has been a relatively disappointing option for fantasy managers this year, but everyone should take note of his T2 finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week. The 26-year-old Norwegian sensation gained strokes off-the-tee for the ninth consecutive start dating back to May, while also gaining 3.3 strokes with the flat stick. He's known for being a "feel" player, and that "feel" appeared to be elite last week as he approaches his BMW Championship title defense. The current OWGR No. 8 profiles as a solid course fit for Castle Pines Golf Club, as he ranks second in weighted strokes gained off-the-tee, 15th in weighted approach play, sixth in birdie-or-better percentage, and 11th in par 5 scoring over the last 24 rounds. Hovland could be catching fire at the right time, and fantasy managers could be in line to capitalize on his $10,400 DraftKings salary at this year's iteration of the BMW Championship.
