The last college football contest was on January 8 when the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Washington Huskies in the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. However, fans of most teams have had to wait even longer to see their squads take the field, and the wait is almost over!
The offseason wait is always agonizing, and given the current climate of college football, a program can go from horrendous to a playoff contender and vice versa in just one year. That said, we're in for plenty of surprises in 2024.

The 2024 CFB season kicks off with a bang, as two ACC foes square off in Dublin, Ireland.
Week 0 consists of four games featuring FBS schools, including the Ireland season opener, Montana State at New Mexico, SMU at Nevada, and Delaware State at Hawaii.
Georgia Tech vs. Florida State Matchup Preview
After the Seminoles were left out of the CFP last season despite being undefeated and winning the ACC Championship, Mike Norvell's squad should be motivated to make a statement. However, FSU had a whopping 10 players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, including Jared Verse, Keon Coleman, Braden Fiske, Renardo Green, Trey Benson, and Jordan Travis.
Florida State brings back just 56% of its offensive production and 60% of its defensive production this season. It will be tough to replace those guys, but former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, along with 16 other transfers, will be tasked with doing so.

Georgia Tech brings back quarterback Haynes King, running back Jamal Haynes, and wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. As a whole, the Yellow Jackets have 83% of their offensive production and 49% of their defensive production back following a 7-6 campaign in 2023.
This bout will set the tone for either team, and it's a must-watch game for starving college football fans.
- Spread: Florida State (-11)
- Game Total: 55.5
