Fantasy football players are knee-deep in redraft league drafts. Unfortunately, there is uncertainty at the top of the draft board.
Christian McCaffrey is the clear-cut 1.01 pick when healthy. However, the two names who could overtake him as the top pick are Breece Hall and CeeDee Lamb.
Both superstars come with massive upsides but also have meaningful risks. Let’s dive into their 2024 fantasy football outlooks.

Breece Hall 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
While Hall suffered a torn ACL as a rookie, he was outstanding last season. He was the RB4, averaging 14.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game despite starting the year on a snap count.
Furthermore, Hall had 223 rushing attempts for 994 yards and five touchdowns despite playing behind arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL. Thankfully, the New York Jets improved their offensive line in the offseason.

CeeDee Lamb 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
The former Oklahoma star is arguably the top wide receiver in the NFL after a breakout 2023 season. Lamb was the WR1 last year, averaging 19.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He had 135 receptions on 181 targets for 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, ranking top three in every category.

Unfortunately, Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of long-term contract extension talks, keeping the veteran from participating in training camp. There is optimism the two sides will get a deal done before Week 1.
Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?
Fantasy players should jump at the chance to draft Hall or Lamb this season. Both fantasy studs could be the highest-scoring player in fantasy football in 2024. However, which one should fantasy players draft first?
The decision boils down to your league’s scoring system. Lamb is the clear option in PPR, while Hall is the better pick in non-PPR.
Meanwhile, I lean toward Lamb in half-point PPR scoring, assuming he has a long-term contract before Week 1. The superstar averaged 6.5 more half-point PPR fantasy points per game than any other wide receiver from Week 8 through the end of last season.
