Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash (Week 22): Redraft Rankings

Coby Mayo - Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Draft Sleepers, MLB Rookies

Eric Cross's top 25 fantasy baseball prospects rankings for Week 22 (2024). MLB prospects, rookies, call-ups who can be fantasy baseball sleepers in redraft leagues.

It's hard to believe September is right around the corner and we're in the final quarter of the 2024 Major League season. We've seen plenty of notable promotions over the last couple of weeks including Trey Sweeney, Jace Jung, Jasson Dominguez, Junior Caminero, Zebby Matthews, and others.

With those names off the list, the top of the stash rankings below is going to have a bit of a different look this week. However, there are still plenty of intriguing prospects to consider stashing or at least keep an eye on over the final several weeks of the Major League season.

Remember, stashing fantasy baseball prospects should be done strategically and varies from league to league. Don't leave your teams without much depth just because you want all the high-upside prospects on your roster.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Dalton Rushing, Los Angeles Dodgers

It feels like the debut for Dalton Rushing could come any day now. Rushing has been transitioning to left field, starting there in nine of 12 games so far in Triple-A, with the other three coming at DH.

This is the move a contending team makes when they're trying to get the bat of one of their top prospects into the lineup for the stretch run, especially when they've had to patchwork together part of their outfield for most of the season.

Rushing has been hitting very well in Triple-A so far, launching three doubles and two home runs in 12 games with a .293/.423/.512 slash line. While it's unclear whether this transition to left field is a short or long-term move, Rushing will have catcher eligibility at least for this season and can make an impact in the power and OBP departments while providing a solid average as well.

Deyvison De Los Santos, Miami Marlins

I'm still a believer that Deyvison De Los Santos debuts this season, which is why he's higher up in the rankings this week, but what we get out of him for production is a massive question mark. De Los Santos' massive raw power -- which I've seen firsthand -- has been on full display all season with 34 home runs in 106 games, but he's been in a funk at the plate lately.

Over his last 12 games, De Los Santos is hitting just .225 with a .264 OBP and a 41.5% strikeout rate. This could wind up being another Rece Hinds situation. The range of outcomes with prospects is always wide, especially when it comes to someone like De Los Santos, so just keep that in mind if stashing him or if you look to add him after he receives the call to Miami.

Dylan Crews, Washington Nationals

The chances of seeing Dylan Crews in the Majors this season looked bleak a few months ago when he was underwhelming in Double-A, but now a late-season promotion is definitely a possibility after Crews found his footing in Triple-A.

In his last 23 games, Crews is slashing .258/.343/.505 with 12 extra-base hits, four home runs, and three steals, and has only struck out in 14.8% of his 108 plate appearances over this timeframe.

Alex Call has been hitting well lately, but Crews could take Jacob Young's spot if Washington wants to give Crews a few weeks to get his feet wet before becoming a full-time starter in 2025. Crews isn't a rush to the waiver wire priority stash, but he's certainly one to keep an eye on over the next week or two.

Chase DeLauter, Cleveland Guardians

Another Triple-A outfielder who could come up and make an impact in September is Cleveland's Chase DeLauter. Various injuries have limited DeLauter to only 33 games this season, but he's quickly reminding everyone how talented he is and the upside he possesses.

DeLauter is currently on a nine-game hitting streak, in which he has four home runs, including a home run in each of his last three games. Durability is the concern right now, but when healthy, DeLauter is a Top-10 prospect for fantasy purposes, given his blend of contact, approach, power, and speed.

Bubba Chandler, Pittsburgh Pirates

It wouldn't shock me if Pittsburgh gave Bubba Chandler a few starts down the stretch before inserting him into their rotation full-time next spring. Chandler has blossomed into one of the 10 best pitching prospects in the game his season with a 3.18 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 7.9% walk rate, and a 30.2% strikeout rate across 93.1 innings. He's been especially stellar over his last three starts, allowing just one earned run in 20 innings with a .145 BAA and 24/3 K/BB ratio.

There shouldn't be any worry of him getting shut down either, as Chandler is still 17.2 innings below what he threw in 2023. At this point, there's no other pitching prospect I'd be looking to stash over Chandler for 2024.

Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals

Another pitcher that could get a shot down the stretch is Noah Cameron who is currently dominating in Triple-A. Cameron has a 2.98 ERA for the season but has posted a stellar 1.07 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 4.2% walk rate, and a 31.3% strikeout rate in his four Triple-A starts after debuting at the level three weeks ago.

If the Royals give Cameron a shot in September, his ability to miss bats would give him mixed league appeal. Cameron has posted an elite 30.2% strikeout rate in his 63 minor league starts and has done a decent job limiting walks as well with a 6.9% walk rate. He's certainly one to at least keep an eye on right now.
