Andrew Benintendi Sitting Against Southpaw
3 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi will take a seat on the bench on Monday against the San Francisco Giants and left-hander Kyle Harrison at Oracle Park. With Benintendi opening the game on the bench, Corey Julks will start in left field and occupy the No. 8 spot in the batting order against Harrison. Benintendi has been miserable against lefties this year, going 10-for-73 (.137) against them with two of his 13 home runs, so it's not a surprise he's out of the lineup on Monday night in San Fran. He's been swinging a better bat over the last 11 games, though, going 13-for-44 (.296) with four home runs, three doubles and eight RBI to raise his season slash line to .216/.269/.366 with a .635 OPS. The 30-year-old just isn't relevant in most mixed fantasy leagues on the worst team in baseball. Julks will be a low-upside DFS deep sleeper. He's hitting .225 (29-for-129) with three homers in 53 games.
