When Should I Draft Cooper Kupp? 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Cooper Kupp - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

When Should I Draft Cooper Kupp in 2024 Fantasy Football Drafts? Taking a look at the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver's fantasy outlook amid injury concerns.

Oh, how quickly people forget. After an injury-filled and somewhat disappointing 2023 season, Cooper Kupp has (almost) universally fallen out of the elite tier of fantasy wide receivers.

However, all the stars have aligned with the 2021 Triple Crown winner and 2022 Super Bowl MVP to regain his superstar form and become a true difference-maker in fantasy football once again.

With all things being considered, when is the best time to draft Kupp? What are the risks associated with picking him? Let’s take a look at everything related to him that could help you in 2024 fantasy football.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Cooper Kupp 2024 Fantasy Outlook

Due to various injuries, Kupp has missed time over the past two seasons, combining to play 21 total games in 2023-24. When Kupp has played he has been effective. However, he has only been a shadow of the player that he was in 2021 where he led the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16).

With growing concerns about Kupp's age (31), as well as the emergence of Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams, there has been much doubt among fantasy players whether Kupp will ever be able to reach his peak form again. All of this speculation has caused a price drop, making Kupp undervalued and underrated.

Last season, even though Kupp only played in nine games, he was still able to finish as the WR24 in PPR leagues. And, even though he was banged up, he was still on a 17-game pace to accumulate 1,044 receiving yards and score nine touchdowns.

According to multiple reports, Kupp is now fully healthy, looks as good as he has in the past few years, and is ready to reclaim his spot as the Los Angeles Rams WR1. With all that being said, drafting Kupp at the right time this year could lead to a massive reward.

When Should I Draft Cooper Kupp in Fantasy Football?

Cooper Kupp is currently projected to finish around the WR17 spot (PPR) and has an ADP of about 37. This just looks absurdly low with the type of upside that Kupp can offer.

When Kupp is healthy, he is arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL. The connection he formed with quarterback Matthew Stafford in 2021 was one of the league's best, and there are genuine signs that point to this year looking similar to back then.

It sounds strange that someone who finished as the WR1 as little as two years ago is now being taken in the fourth round of fantasy football drafts. If he falls to you around pick No. 32 through 37, you should absolutely snag him, as he possesses the upside of a top-10 fantasy WR.
