3 months agoThe Detroit Tigers have sent third baseman/outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy back to Triple-A Toledo after the 24-year-old slashed .217/.304/.394 in 204 plate appearances for the Tigers. With Riley Greene coming off the injured list on Sunday, Malloy didn't have an everyday spot with the team, and sending him back to the minors where he will get more at-bats makes sense. Malloy showed promise, knocking eight homers and walking at a 10.3% clip, but he also struck out at a 36.3% rate and wasn't able to hit for any type of average. Perhaps some seasoning in the minors will make for a breakout 2025 season, but he certainly can be dropped in all redraft leagues now.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
