Should Fantasy Players Roster Tyler Reddick At Michigan?
4 months agoFor the FireKeepers Casino 400, Tyler Reddick will start second after qualifying was canceled due to weather. This is the highest starting position of his Cup career at Michigan and will be the sixth consecutive race this year with a top-10 starting position. In five previous starts at the site, Reddick's best finish was 18th. Despite only one top-20 finish in his Cup career at MIS, Reddick generally runs well before dealing with an issue. Last year's race at the track is a great example, as he led seven laps and ran second before a loose wheel ruined his day. Through 23 races so far this season, Reddick has one win and leads all drivers with 16 top-10 finishes, including nine of the last 10 Cup events. In practice, Reddick ranked 16th in overall lap averages, 12th in five consecutive lap averages, and fourth in 10 consecutive lap averages. Although Reddick's finishing history at Michigan leaves much to be desired, the No. 45 Toyota driver has been arguably the most consistent driver of the year, regardless of track type. Reddick might fit best in tournament lineups due to low upside or as a pivot play to Denny Hamlin or Kyle Larson, but it is recommended for fantasy players to have exposure to him regardless this week.
