Expect Ty Gibbs To Rebound At Michigan
4 months agoTy Gibbs will start Sunday's FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway from the 19th position, the lowest starting position ever for him at the site after qualifying was canceled due to rain. In two previous Michigan races in the Cup Series, Gibbs led laps in both events and placed 11th or better twice. In the Xfinity Series at MIS, Gibbs has two top-five finishes, including one win in three starts. With 23 races completed so far this year, Gibbs has nine top-10 finishes and an average finish of 15.4. In practice, Gibbs ranked 17th in overall lap averages out of all drivers. Despite the middling practice speeds and recent underwhelming finishes, Michigan has been a great track for Gibbs since the Xfinity Series. Expect the driver of the No. 54 Toyota to rebound and prove to be a fantasy asset in all DFS formats this week.
