Ricky Stenhouse Jr's Speed Decline Has Received Little Notice
3 months agoRicky Stenhouse's significant decline in speed has somewhat flown under the radar for most of the year because fans tend to be harsher towards the drivers who crash most often than drivers who are merely slow even if their actual performance is worse. However, the spotlight did switch to Stenhouse in a big way in last week's Richmond race when his late-race spinout of Ryan Preece set up the controversial overtime finish. Stenhouse has proven no faster this weekend at Michigan since he only ranked 33rd-fatsest in practice. He's never been particularly good at this track either as he has only earned one top-10 finish there and never led a lap despite driving for Roush Fenway Racing for most of his career, a team that historically put a great deal of emphasis on Michigan since it was near their historical headquarters. Don't expect much from Stenhouse in today's FireKeepers Casino 400.
