Could Alex Bowman Be An Underrated Pick For DFS At Michigan?
4 months agoFor the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, Alex Bowman will start 22nd after qualifying was canceled. This will be the second-lowest starting position in a Cup race at Michigan since his first start there with Hendrick Motorsports in 2016. In 14 Michigan races, Bowman has three top-10 finishes, which were scored in his last seven Cup appearances at the site. Bowman also led 19 laps and placed in the Top 10 at the end of the first two stages in last year's race at MIS. Through 23 races so far in 2024, Bowman has one win, 12 top-10 finishes, and an average finish of 14.7. In practice, before it was called early due to rain, Bowman ranked 11th in overall lap averages and ninth in five consecutive lap averages. Despite Bowman's overall mixed history at Michigan, his practice speeds and overall results so far this year make him an underrated and sneaky DFS option capable of competing for a top-10 finish.
