3 months agoDetroit Tigers rookie outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy is starting in left field and is hitting third for the Tigers on Saturday against the New York Yankees and left-hander Carlos Rodon at Comerica Park. Malloy hasn't been able to get comfortable in any one lineup spot for the Tigers of late, as he hit sixth in the series-opening loss on Friday night and has also hit leadoff a few times in the last week. The 24-year-old will be in a much more favorable spot on Saturday than he was the day before, but it won't be an easy matchup against Rodon. The former sixth-rounder of the Atlanta Braves in 2021 is hitting just .216 (38-for-176) on the year with eight home runs and 20 RBI. However, he's gone 11-for-30 (.367) with two of his eight long balls in 2024 against southpaws. Malloy will be a DFS sleeper on Saturday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
