Kyle Manzardo is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 22 (2024). Target Kyle Manzardo as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in All But the Shallowest of Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: August
ANALYSIS: Kyle Manzardo currently ranks as the Cleveland Guardians' number three prospect and the 52nd overall in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. Manzardo has spent the majority of his time in Triple-A this season; however, he spent several weeks with the Guardians in May/June.
His time in the majors didn’t go all that great, though. In 30 games (82 at-bats), Manzardo slashed .207/.241/.329 with no home runs, seven RBI, and an astonishing 3:23 BB:K. In Triple-A, Manzardo has been much more steady. In 70 games (245 at-bats) with Columbus, he is slashing .269/.399/.555 with 17 homers, 42 RBI, and a much better 51:51 BB:K.
In fact, since returning to Triple-A on June 19th, his BB:K has been a remarkable 36:29.
#Guardians 24yr old (1B) prospect Kyle Manzardo reached base 3x (2-4 2R HR RBI BB SB) in game one of tonight's doubleheader for Columbus including a mammoth solo HR in the 3rd inning for his 17th long ball of the season.

Manzardo is one of the best pure hitters in the minor leagues. His struggle with plate discipline at the major league level and then his vast improvement in Triple-A shows an incredible mix of skill, work ethic, and adaptability.
The upside that Manzardo offers at the plate is too great for the Guardians to ignore. As the Guardians (72-49) are in the midst of a pennant race, Manzardo would be a great addition to their major league roster as a DH or a pinch-hit option. If he can manage to get hot (which he very possibly will), he could very quickly see everyday reps.
Manzardo is a player you should stash in fantasy leagues. His ceiling is very high, and he can make an impact quickly after he is called up again. He has tremendous value to both finish this year and for the future. Hold him if you have him, and if you don’t, look out for news regarding his call-up!
