Jace Jung Promoted To The Major Leagues
4 months agoDetroit Tigers second base/third base prospect Jace Jung is being promoted to the major leagues, according to Evan Petzold of Freep.com. Jung is currently ranked as the fifth-best prospect in the Tiger system and 64th-best in the sport on MLB.com. The Texas Tech product has logged 91 games at Triple-A Toledo this summer and has posted a solid .257/.377/.454 slash line with 14 home runs, 60 RBI, and a 67:93 BB:K. Jung has held a .279/.407/.349 line across his past 11 games. Last summer, Jung split time at High-A and Double-A and held a cumulative .258/.380/.461 slash line with 15 home runs, 63 RBI, and a 71:95 BB:K. Jung is worth a look in all standard leagues, as he should see a majority of the starting opportunities over the final weeks of the season.
