Zamir White Continuing To Level Up His Play
Zamir White continues his strong showing during training camp with his fast and physical running style. Showing that he's a great fit for new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy's scheme, White has been bouncing off of defenders throughout practice on Tuesday. White received six carries for 23 yards and punched in a touchdown from two yards out in the first preseason contest against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday as he sits perched on top of the depth chart at the running back position without much opposition. A breakout candidate in his third season as a pro, the former Georgia Bulldog is a worthwhile mid-round pick in fantasy drafts as an RB2 who could be a big value this season with Josh Jacobs now in Green Bay.

Zamir White Could Be Available Via Trade
Zamir White is believed to be available via trade this offseason if some teams want to take a chance on the former fourth-rounder in 2022 out of the University of Georgia, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed. White had some great moments for the Raiders in 2023 before falling off last year to a scheme change while also ending the year on Injured Reserve due to a quadriceps injury. The 25-year-old was set to take over for Josh Jacobs as the Raiders' lead back in 2024, but that did not happen. White ended up playing in only eight games (five starts) in his third year in the NFL and carried the ball 65 times for 183 yards (career-low 2.8 yards per carry) for one rushing touchdown. He added six catches for 30 yards. A change of scenery would probably be best for White's fantasy stock, but he'd still likely be nothing more than a complementary back elsewhere.

Raiders Place Zamir White On Injured Reserve
Zamir White (quadriceps) on Injured Reserve and signed quarterback Carter Bradley to the 53-man active roster from the practice squad in a corresponding move. The Raiders also signed quarterback Jake Luton and defensive tackle Tyler Manoa to the practice squad and released defensive tackle Marquan McCall from the practice squad. White is now done for the rest of the 2024 season with the move. The 25-year-old was in line for lead-back duties after Josh Jacobs left in free agency, but he fell flat with the opportunity and gave way to Alexander Mattison early in the year. White ends up being a massive disappointment in his third year in the league with 183 rushing yards and one touchdown on 65 carries through eight games. Sincere McCormick has become a bigger part of Vegas' backfield of late with Mattison also hurt.

Zamir White Ruled Out, Alexander Mattison Questionable
Zamir White (quadriceps) has been ruled out, and Alexander Mattison (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. White will now miss his third-straight contest. Mattison has remained a limited participant during this week's practices and could be in line to return following his two-game absence. Over the past two weeks, veteran Ameer Abdullah has operated as the lead back and averaged a modest 33.5 rushing with 25.5 receiving yards per game. However, depth option Sincere McCormick has shown flashes over this stint, as he has posted a solid 5.7 yards per carry. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Mattison's status over the weekend as he would likely reclaim his lead role if he can suit up on Sunday.

Zamir White Remains Sidelined At Practice
Zamir White (quadriceps) missed yet another practice on Thursday. White has missed the team's last two games and appears to be well on his way to missing a third straight this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers unless he's able to get back on the practice field on Friday. It's been a very disappointing season for the 25-year-old, who opened the year with a shot at lead-back duties after Josh Jacobs left in free agency in the offseason. White squandered his opportunity and let Alexander Mattison jump him on the depth chart early in the year. He's averaging a measly 2.8 yards per carry on 65 rushing attempts for the season in eight games (five starts), and he hasn't seen double-digit carries since Sept. 29. Even if White miraculously returns for the Week 14 contest against the Bucs this weekend, he should remain on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.
