Robert MacIntyre Making TPC Southwind Debut
8 months agoRobert MacIntyre has played in two St. Jude Championships, but this upcoming week will mark his first time playing at TPC Southwind, as his last two appearances came in 2020 and 2021. The Scotland native has had quite the summer, winning the RBC Canadian Open and claiming a dramatic victory in his home tournament before struggling mightily in his early rounds at The Open. Bobby Mac surprisingly missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship last week, but perhaps that allows him to refocus for the upcoming FedEx Cup Playoffs. The 28-year-old seems like great DFS value at first glance, coming in at just $7,100 on DraftKings this week.

Robert MacIntyre An Interesting Play At Arnold Palmer Invitational
3 weeks agoFor the most part, knowing which Robert MacIntyre will be on display each week is the toughest battle in knowing what to do with him in DFS. He's been feast or famine with the flat stick, though the latter is the more dominant trend, ranking 157th in strokes gained putting (-0.487) on the season. What makes him interesting this week is his dominance off the tee (+0.726 strokes gained average: ranked eighth on the season), the typical strength on approach, and his short game. With only one appearance at Bay Hill that resulted in a T36 in 2021, there is still some learning for the Scottish golfer, but there is value here with lower perceived ownership than the more popular players around him.

Robert MacIntyre Could Be Intriguing At Genesis Invitational
2 months agoRobert MacIntyre enjoyed the atmosphere at Scottsdale on his way to a top-10 result. The Scottish golfer could see conditions over the first two days at Torrey Pines similar to a late spring afternoon in Scotland. Rainy, and at times windy weather, could impact the golf course. MacIntyre's consistency was vital to his finish. If his putter works even around average, that could put the golfer into contention. His birdie average is 5.1 to start off 2025, which ranks 10th on the tour. His early actual scoring average also is in the top 10 at 68.38. Again, he is under the radar here coming into Torrey Pines, which could make for a nice top-10 or top-20 wager.

Robert MacIntyre A Solid Option At WM Phoenix Open
2 months agoRobert MacIntyre has had a solid start to 2025 with finishes of T40, T17 (Dubai Desert Classic), T53, and T15 in his first four events. He now turns his attention to the WM Phoenix Open, an event he has played in just once, missing the cut in 2024. The course rewards good drivers of the golf ball, an area where MacIntyre excels. He ranks 35th in total driving, 16th in driving accuracy, and 32nd in strokes gained off the tee. MacIntyre also ranks 41st in strokes gained on approach, including eighth in approaches from 150-175 yards, a distance that accounts for 24.2% of all approach shots at TPC Scottsdale. This week should play to his strengths, and with a $9,000 price tag on DraftKings, he is a strong option for fantasy lineups.

Robert MacIntyre Tries To Learn Sony Open Lessons
3 months agoRobert MacIntyre did not know what to expect at the Sony Open in 2024. The Scottish golfer ended up outside the Top 50 but made the cut. What followed was an up and down season that featured two wins (RBC Canadian and Genesis Scottish Opens). He even netted a Top 10 at the Hero World Challenge in December. After a respectable Top 15 at The Sentry, MacIntyre looks primed for a better effort at Waialae Country Club. MacIntyre improved on his putts per round as the season went on. By the end of 2024, his final round number was exactly at 28. If his first round number comes closer to that mark, MacIntyre can be a threat to contend in Hawaii.
