Gage Workman Homers Three Times, Drives In Seven
3 months agoDetroit Tigers second baseman prospect Gage Workman homered three times on Sunday for Double-A Erie, driving in seven runs in the process. After the 3-for-6 day at the plate, Workman is now slashing .260/.351/.435 with a .358 wOBA and 123 wRC+. The homers brought his season total to 12 in 99 games for the SeaWolves, and the 24-year-old also has 24 steals during the campaign. The former fourth-round draft pick does not reside within the Tigers' Top 30 Prospects list, likely due in part to his career 33.2% strikeout rate, but with that kind of power and speed, it'd be worth monitoring in 2025 to see if he's showing signs of improvement that could get him closer to the majors and fantasy relevance.
