Chad Green Notches His 12th Save Of The Year
Chad Green picked up his 12th save of the season in Monday's 4-2 win against the Los Angeles Angels. The 33-year-old allowed one run with no strikeouts over an inning in Monday's victory. He surrendered a solo blast to Jo Adell in the bottom of the ninth inning but bounced back to retire the next three batters he faced to pick up the save. Green has been a consistent closing option for the Jays to replace the injured Jordan Romano (elbow). He is (3-2) with a 1.86 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP across 38 2/3 innings. With how well he is pitching and how depleted Toronto's bullpen is, the closing job has been Green's to run with. Green is available in 44% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues and should be picked up by fantasy managers searching for saves.

Chad Green Nails Down 14th Save
Chad Green nailed down his 14th save in Monday's 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox, concluding a game suspended on June 26. Green allowed one hit and struck out three batters in his 19-pitch (13 strikes) effort. The veteran reliever is 4-3 with a 1.69 ERA and 0.87 WHIP in 42 appearances, striking out 36 and walking 11 in 42 2/3 innings. He has yet to blow a save opportunity and should be a part of the pitching staff of fantasy managers as the Blue Jays have won five straight in a push to get their record to .500.

Chad Green Earns 13th Save
Chad Green was called upon to hold a one-run lead against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. Green did give up a hit to Cody Bellinger who ended up stealing his way into scoring position. Despite that, Green was able to battle back and convert his 13th save of the season. The right-hander is now 11-for-11 in save chances since taking over as the primary closer in Toronto. The Blue Jays have struggled to find a reliable closer all season long. It looks like Green is finally the answer and he should be worth adding in fantasy leagues where saves matter.

Chad Green Nabs Fourth Save
Chad Green picked up his fourth save of the season in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Mariners. Green came on to get one out in the eighth, then recorded the final three outs in the ninth. It didn't come without some drama though as the 33-year-old coughed up a home run that allowed Seattle to get within a run of tying the game. All in all the righty threw 27 pitches (20 strikes) and it was the first time he'd given up a run since early June, a span of 9 appearances. Green is serving as closer after a plethora of injuries in the Toronto bullpen and may relinquish duties to Yimi Garcia when he returns. On the season, Green has a 1.64 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 5:19 BB:K, six holds, and four saves in 22 IP.

Chad Green Collects Third Save Tuesday
Chad Green shut the door against the Houston Astros on Tuesday night, picking up his third save of the season while allowing one hit on two strikeouts in a 7-6 victory. Green gave up a leadoff double to Jeremy Pena, but then struck out the next two batters and put away Jose Altuve with a fly out to end the ball game. The 33-year-old veteran is having a career year with the Blue Jays with his season ERA at 1.37. He's on pace for a career-low strikeout rate, but what he's been lacking in strikeouts, he's been making up for with only three earned runs in 19 2/3 innings. While Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow) are sidelined, Green should remain the interim closer, barring any possible trades happening at the deadline.
