Jace Jung Riding Nine-Game Hit Streak
3 months agoDetroit Tigers second base/third base prospect Jace Jung is making a case for a major-league debut before the 2024 season comes to a close, as he's currently riding a nine-game hit streak, during which time he has gone 12-for-35 (.343) with three doubles, six RBI, seven runs scored, and a 9:5 BB:K. The 23-year-old now owns a .263-14-59-50-2 line at Triple-A this season and a strong .379 on-base percentage during his minor-league career. This is buoyed by a career 15.4% walk rate. With the Tigers going nowhere this season, Jung will be a late-season call-up to get him a handful of major-league at-bats before heading into next season, but it will likely be too late to help out much in fantasy leagues.
