3 months agoCleveland Guardians starting pitching prospect Parker Messick struck out six batters in six innings on Sunday for Double-A Akron, allowing just one hit and one walk. Over his last two starts, Messick has been impeccable (11 IP, 3H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 15 K). The 23-year-old lefty has impressed all season. Through 107 1/3 innings between High-A and Double-A, he's posted a 2.93 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 34:134 BB/SO.
