Corbin Carroll Enters Game Off The Bench, Homers In Sunday's Win
4 months agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll came in to replace Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (hamstring) in the fourth inning of Sunday's game as he left with an apparent hamstring injury. Carroll then went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run to help the Diamondbacks crush the Philadelphia Phillies 12-5. The 2023 National League Rookie of the Year has had an underwhelming second season in the big leagues, slashing .218/.308/.380 with only 11 homers in 115 games (426 at-bats). He has been better lately and has seen his power numbers go up. In his last 15 games, Carroll is starting to heat up, slashing .280/.379/.700, with five of his 11 homers coming in that stretch.
