The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is back in action this weekend at Richmond Raceway for the Clean Harbors 250. The racing world took the past two weeks off for the Paris Olympics, but NASCAR ramps back up on Saturday with this race, followed by the Cup Series returning on Sunday.
Entering this race, Christian Eckes holds a 50-point lead over Corey Heim in the point standings. It's been a dominant season for the two of them as they've won eight of the 15 races this season.

Corey Heim - $10.6K
When we're talking about the top drivers in the Truck Series and the top candidates to win, there are two obvious names to start with: Christian Eckes and Corey Heim.
Pre-practice Truck sims for Richmond:
1. Christian Eckes 30.9%
2. Ty Majeski 18.9%
3. Corey Heim 11.6%
4. Tyler Ankrum 5.6%
5. Grant Enfinger 5.5%Full win/T3/T5 sims plus values at @FDSportsbook ⤵️ https://t.co/1bGwhc9tEx

Heim has raced here twice in the Truck Series, finishing fifth and sixth. He also ran here in Xfinity earlier in 2024, finishing in fourth place. While Eckes has been running better overall than Heim lately, it's Heim who has a series-high five wins this season.
Christian Eckes - $10.9K
Eckes doesn't have a great track record at Richmond, finishing in the top 10 just once in three Truck Series starts here, but two of his three wins this season have been on short tracks and he comes into this race on an absurd streak of top-three finishes, which currently sits at four races. He led 73 laps and finished second last time out at IRP.
Ty Majeski - $10.4K
Ty Majeski hasn't won at Richmond, but he's come very close over the last two years. The ThorSport driver qualified on the pole here in 2022 and led 73 laps before finishing third. He bettered that in 2023, qualifying on the pole again and leading 168 laps before coming in second behind Carson Hocevar. You never want to say a player is due for a win, but I will say that Majeski conquering Richmond this weekend wouldn't be surprising.

Mid-Tier NASCAR Trucks DFS Lineup Options
Tyler Ankrum - $9.0K
Tyler Ankrum comes into this race with two top fives in the past three races and four top 15s overall. Ankrum is on a strong run right now and has a good chance to continue that at a track where he has a pair of top fives and has never finished lower than 13th. It'll be tough for Ankrum to get his first Truck Series win since 2019 in such a stacked field, but he's already set a career-high in top fives and has a chance to add another to his resume on Saturday.
Connor Zilisch - $9.7K
NASCAR's most hyped prospect makes his second Truck Series start on Saturday. He came in fourth at COTA in his series debut earlier this season. Sure, that was on a road course, but Zilisch has shown a quick ability to pick up ovals in ARCA, winning all three of his starts this season in that series.

Zilisch was also announced as the full-time driver of the No. 88 for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series next season. He could realistically be full-time in Cup by 2026.
Ben Rhodes - $8.8K
Ben Rhodes hit a snag in the past two races, but he still has four top-seven finishes in the past seven races. He's also found some success at Richmond during his career, including a 2020 third-place finish here that saw him lead 66 laps.
Layne Riggs - $8.7K
It's been a rough year for Layne Riggs, who took over a championship-contending truck and currently sits just 16th in points. However, Riggs is coming off a strong fifth-place run at IRP, his second top-five in the last four races. Three of his four top 10s this season have come at short tracks.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Sleeper Picks
William Sawalich - $7.2K
I commented last race that William Sawalich was priced too low. After finishing 12th at IRP and scoring 45 DraftKings points, Sawalich jumped $600 in salary for this one. That's still a bargain for one of the best young prospects in NASCAR, especially considering he raced here in 2023 and finished 10th, one of three top 10s he had last season at short tracks in four short-track starts.
Kaden Honeycutt - $7.3K
Kaden Honeycutt continues to impress in his part-time season for Niece Motorsports. He has four top 10s in six races and an average finish of 11.8, with his 33rd at Nashville being his lone finish worse than 12th. He lacks experience at Richmond as he's raced here just once, but Honeycutt's run consistently well every time he's been out there.
Jake Garcia - $6.7K
Jake Garcia is another driver with disappointing results this year compared to expectations, but he finished fourth here last year. He could be a sneaky good play depending on how qualifying goes. I'd love Garcia with place differential upside.
