Mookie Betts To Play Right Field Upon His Return
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that infielder Mookie Betts (hand) will play right field when he returns from the injured list on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dodgers have changed their minds a few times now on the plan for Betts once he returns, originally saying that they expected him to move to second base after serving as the regular shortstop in the first half of the season before fracturing his hand. The 31-year-old All-Star will also drop to the second spot in the batting order to allow designated hitter Shohei Ohtani to stay in the leadoff spot. Miguel Rojas and Nick Ahmed will continue to split time at the 6 when Betts returns, while Gavin Lux will stay at the keystone. The biggest loser upon Betts' return will be veteran Jason Heyward. Regardless of where Betts is playing on the diamond, he's a must-start in all fantasy lineups when he's active.
