Carson Williams Stays Hot With Three-Hit Night
3 months agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop prospect Carson Williams stayed hot in the batter's box on Thursday evening as he went 3-for-5 with a home run, two singles, three RBI, and a walk. This performance extended his current hitting streak to five games. In his past eight games, Williams is currently holding a .313/.405/.531 slash line. The former first-round selection has spent the entire summer at Double-A Montgomery and posted a solid .261/.353/.478 line with 15 home runs, 47 RBI, and 28 stolen bases. The 21-year-old is ranked as the second-best prospect in the Tampa Bay system behind Junior Caminero and the ninth-overall prospect in baseball on MLB.com. He remains a must-watch player as he could finish the season at Triple-A Durham, which could open the door for a 2025 major league debut.
