Hunter Greene Collects Another Quality Start
4 months agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene stayed hot in Thursday's no-decision versus the Miami Marlins. Greene tossed his sixth straight quality start, firing six innings of three-run ball, allowing six hits, two walks and striking out five batters. The right-hander has been rolling lately and has a 1.13 ERA over his last five starts. On the season, Greene owns a 2.90 ERA to go along with 10.17 K/9 and 12 quality starts. At this point, the only concern for Greene managers would be if the Reds decide to limit him down the stretch, with a playoff appearance unlikely. The talented flamethrower will look to pick up his seventh straight quality start when he faces off against the division rival St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.
