Brandon Winokur Tallies Three Hits, Long Ball On Wednesday
4 months agoMinnesota Twins outfield prospect Brandon Winokur went 3-for-5 with a long ball and two RBI on Wednesday evening. This was another strong outing in August for the young 19-year-old as he currently sits with a stellar a .357/.400/.571 line this month. Overall, through his first 69 games at the Single-A level, the Edison HS product has held his own with a .248/.333/.402 line with eight home runs, 39 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. Last summer in the Rookie League, the former third-round selection carried a .288/.338/.545 line with four long balls. Winokur is ranked as the 12th-best prospect in the Twins system and remains several seasons away from his major league debut.
