4 months agoBaltimore Orioles catcher/first base prospect Samuel Basallo continued to crush Double-A pitching with four more hits for Double-A Bowie on Wednesday. The Orioles' No. 2 prospect is red-hot right now, turning in an August slash line of .458/.480/.750 in six games so far this month. Overall, the 19-year-old is hitting .284 with 15 homers and 43 RBI to go along with nine stolen bases. Basallo is one of the top young prospects in baseball and the fact that he is crushing it in Double-A at age 19 is a great sign of what is to come. The Orioles held on tight to him at the trade deadline this year and his future is bright in Baltimore. He looks like he could be a future fantasy superstar.--Brian Buckey - RotoBaller
