Kevin Alcantara Hits First Triple-A Home Run
4 months agoAlthough it has been only two games, Chicago Cubs outfield prospect Kevin Alcantara has not missed a beat since his promotion to Triple-A Iowa. The big outfielder went 1-for-3 with a home run on Wednesday and is now 2-for-6 in his first two games with Iowa. The 22-year-old spent most of his season with Double-A Tennessee, but his recent promotion makes him one step closer to making his big-league debut with the Cubs. Between both levels, Alcantara is hitting .273 with 10 homers, 40 RBI and seven stolen bases in 297 at-bats. Alcantara has really improved his plate discipline this season and his all-around potential gives him a very high ceiling moving forward. Managers in dynasty leagues should consider giving Alcantara a look in his new home.
