Nick Chubb suffered a devastating knee injury in last season's Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cleveland Browns running back reportedly underwent surgery to repair his meniscus and MCL.
Later, he had another surgery to repair his ACL and is still recovering from the effects. When healthy, Chubb is one of the best running backs in football and is a fan favorite in fantasy football. However, his injury has made it tough for the managers who were looking to draft him.
What will be the best spot to draft Chubb? What's the latest on his return date? Let's take a look at everything related to the star running back that could help you in 2024 fantasy football.

Nick Chubb 2024 Fantasy Outlook
As per reports, Chubb will not be ready to play in Week 1 of the upcoming season. The Browns do not want to rush the Georgia product back and will allow him an extended period to get fully healthy. In his absence, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. will be the leading backs for the Browns, with D'Onta Foreman working his way from a neck injury.
Chubb could miss multiple games at the start of the season, and this declines his value. However, as evident by previous seasons, running backs are prone to injuries, and drafting the Browns star could be good insurance for your starters for the second half of the season.

In his last fully healthy season, the 28-year-old running back had 302 carries for 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 games. He also had 27 receptions for 239 yards and a touchdown. Once Chubb is back on the field, expect him to play like he did before his injury.
When Should I Draft Nick Chubb in Fantasy Football?
Nick Chubb currently has an average draft position (ADP) of 86 and is currently the RB31. I would prefer to draft him around the sixth or seventh round of the draft, as the risk-to-reward ratio is quite high.
Chubb is arguably the best pure running back in the league, as evident by his career average of 5.3 yards per carry. Moreover, last season we saw Jonathan Taylor put up decent numbers after making his season debut in Week 5.

The Colts running back had 169 carries for 741 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games last season. Chubb could play a similar number of games this year and has the tools to put up better stats. Not many people are high on the Browns running back due to his injury. But him being an RB3 on your team to start the season could pay dividends in the second half of the season and during the playoffs.
