Ben Griffin Needs A Big Week At Wyndham Championship
4 months agoBen Griffin has little room for error heading to Sedgefield Country Club this week. The 28-year old former Tarheel returns to his home state of North Carolina while sitting at number 60 in the FedExCup Standings, and only golfers ranked inside of the top 70 will qualify for the FedEx St. Jude Championship next week. Griffin may need to be conservative off-the-tee as driving accuracy is one of his glaring weaknesses, but he ranks fifth in approach play, 21st in greens-in-regulation percentage, and second in Bermuda putting over the last 24 rounds, all stats which are required for success at Sedgefield. Although he's coming in off of two consecutive missed cuts, he has two top-10 finishes in the eight events he's played in since June, and he notably finished in fourth place in his first start here back in 2022. Based on course fit and recent form, fantasy managers should strongly consider getting exposure to Griffin at the Wyndham Championship.
