Bryce Elder Gets Rocked In Loss
4 months agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Bryce Elder was hit hard in Tuesday's loss versus the Milwaukee Brewers. The former All-Star only last 3 2/3 innings, in which he allowed eight hits, seven runs, two walks and struck out six. Besides for the strikeouts, Elder didn't offer anything for managers who were bold enough to start Elder. Brewers' shortstop Willy Adames was the biggest kryptonite for Elder, hitting a pair of two-run homers off the right-hander. Elder has spent 2024 between the big-league club and Triple-A Gwinnett this season, but is currently slated to face the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field on Sunday and should be avoided at all costs in that matchup.
