Emil Morales Stays Hot In The Rookie League
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop prospect Emil Morales has continued to post elite numbers in the Rookie League and is nearing a promotion to Single-A. Through July, the 17-year-old carried a dominant .333/.500/.750 slash line with six home runs, 16 RBI, and six stolen bases. Through the first week of August, Morales has tallied six hits, with four of them going for extra-bases. Overall, through his first 40 games in the Dodger system, the budding star holds an eye-catching .333/.480/.674 line with 12 round-trippers, 38 RBI, a 37:39 BB:K ratio, and 10 stolen bases. Morales currently sits as the 18th-best prospect in the Dodger system on MLB.com, but he is sure to continue to climb those ranks, given his elite production so far.
