Ha-Seong Kim Scratched On Tuesday
4 months agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Ha-Seong Kim was scratched from Tuesday's lineup for the start of a series against the hosting Pittsburgh Pirates due to undisclosed reasons. With Kim out, Tyler Wade will make the start at shortstop and will bat ninth against Pirates left-hander Bailey Falter. Fantasy managers will want to check back soon for more information on Kim as to why he's not playing on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Korean infielder is having a down year in 2024 compared to his begin 2023 campaign as SD's primary leadoff man, but he's still contributed 10 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 111 games as a solid middle-infield depth option in fantasy leagues. Wade will be a DFS sleeper to avoid on Tuesday. He has seven steals in 103 at-bats but is also searching for his first home run and will be in a lefty-lefty matchup in this one. UPDATE: Kim said he has soreness in his right triceps, which he began feeling on Monday and was still feeling when he took some swings on Tuesday. He's unsure of his status for Wednesday or moving forward.
