4 months agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Ha-Seong Kim was scratched from Tuesday's lineup for the start of a series against the hosting Pittsburgh Pirates due to undisclosed reasons. With Kim out, Tyler Wade will make the start at shortstop and will bat ninth against Pirates left-hander Bailey Falter. Fantasy managers will want to check back soon for more information on Kim as to why he's not playing on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Korean infielder is having a down year in 2024 compared to his begin 2023 campaign as SD's primary leadoff man, but he's still contributed 10 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 111 games as a solid middle-infield depth option in fantasy leagues. Wade will be a DFS sleeper to avoid on Tuesday. He has seven steals in 103 at-bats but is also searching for his first home run and will be in a lefty-lefty matchup in this one. UPDATE: Kim said he has soreness in his right triceps, which he began feeling on Monday and was still feeling when he took some swings on Tuesday.
