4 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Chen-Wei Lin earned High-A Florida State League Player of the Week honors after a strong performance in his last outing. Lin tossed seven shutout innings with seven strikeouts, one walk, and three hits to earn the honors. Lin, 22, stands tall at 6'7, 188 pounds and offers a strong fastball that can reach 97 MPH to go along with a changeup and slider that he continues to work on. For the season, Lin has a 3.24 ERA with 91 strikeouts in 89 innings in his first full season for High-A Palm Beach but remains a few seasons away from a potential big-league debut.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
