JP Sears Strikes Out Five In Monday's Win
4 months agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher JP Sears (9-8) recorded his ninth win and logged a quality start while allowing one run on three hits with one walk and five strikeouts in a 4-1 win against the Chicago White Sox on Monday. Sears' 4.35 ERA is nothing to write home about, but with the A's offense significantly improving from last season, the run support has been much better than last year at the Coliseum. The 28-year-old is sizzling this summer with a 3.07 ERA in July and is off to a great start in August after handing the White Sox their 21st straight loss. His next start won't be easy, as the A's head across the Northern border to face the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend.
