Freddie Freeman Returning To Dodgers On Monday
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman (personal), who has missed the last eight games to be with his ailing three-year-old son, will return to the team on Monday. The Dodgers have yet to release an official lineup for Monday's contest against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Aaron Nola, but if Freeman is back with the team, he's likely to be back in the starting lineup. The 34-year-old's son was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome but has been released from the hospital. When Freeman does return to the starting lineup, fantasy managers will want to get him back in their lineups immediately. The eight-time All-Star is having another strong season in his third year in LA, slashing .288/.395/.493 with an .888 OPS, 16 home runs, 67 RBI, five stolen bases and 63 runs scored in 104 games played. UPDATE: The Dodgers activated Freeman from the emergency family leave list and designated infielder Cavan Biggio for assignment in a corresponding move.
