Jimmy Lambert Dealing With Shoulder Strain
4 months agoChicago White Sox right-hander Jimmy Lambert (shoulder) threw in another minor-league rehab game in Arizona on July 23, but he was returned from his rehab assignment on Saturday due to a right-shoulder strain. Lambert visited with Dr. Neal ElAttrache during spring training for a second opinion on his shoulder and was able to avoid surgery. He was put on the 60-day injured list on March 28 and started a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on July 19. With more shoulder problems, the 29-year-old is now firmly in jeopardy of missing the entire 2024 campaign. In his fourth season with Chicago last year, Lambert picked up his first career save but also had a 5.26 ERA and 1.62 WHIP with 41 strikeouts and 20 walks in 37 2/3 innings over 35 appearances (one start).
